Literature Text

I sit at the edge of infinity.
I dip my finger in the pool of eternity.
I look around at the darkness.
Dark forever.
But the pool beneath my finger
Lights with the incandescent glow of ages.
I pull back,
But my eyes stay on the pool.
I see the beginning of time.
The creation of the world.
I see babies in their mother's arms.
I see the sun.
I see the dragons roar,
Their open jaws filled with the fire
Only accessible by those who know
What the world truly is.
I see the building of the modern age,
The towers outstretching their iron arms
To reach the sky.
I see the end.
How did it come to this,
Me alone at the end of the world?
Everyone gone.
I would give wisdom
And knowledge endless
Just to once more feel another human touch.
Last poem I wrote on the bus ride home. It was raining, and I was bored. Took me maybe 10-20 minutes to write all three, hence their unpolished form.
