Description

UPDATE: Feb 23 2013
Made black background to see better.

:icongouseplz::iconthisartplz:

A free-to-use pack of 25 cloud brushes for Photoshop. If you have GIMP version 2.4 and up, you can also use the brushes in GIMP.

UPDATE: I got my name in a book because of the lovely Dotty's Story cover by ~mallardswoodspice!

HOW TO INSTALL:
Photoshop:
If you have associated ABR files with Photoshop, you can just double-click the file and it will open in Photoshop.

Otherwise, follow these steps:
  1. Open Photoshop
  2. Select the brush tool (press B or click the paintbrush)
  3. In the toolbar at the top of the window, where there's Mode, Opacity, Flow, etc, go to the option that's the second from the left and click the down arrow.
  4. When the window pops up, click the right-facing arrow button on the top-right of the window.
  5. Click "Load Brushes..."
  6. Open the ABR file
  7. And you're done!

You can also move the ABR file into your C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Presets/Brushes folder for easy access. It will become a default brush set (but you will have to open it again if you reset your brushes).

GIMP:
You have to have GIMP 2.4 or higher to support Photoshop brushes. The default installation of GIMP assigns C:/Program Files/GIMP/share/gimp[version]/brushes as your brushes folder. Move the ABR file into there and refresh your brush list. Do this by opening your brushes dialog (Shift+Ctrl+B) and clicking the button with the two blue arrows.

In Linux, the default directory is different. Open your Home folder and press Ctrl+H to show hidden files and folders. Go to the folder .gimp-[version]/brushes and move the ABR file into there.

HOW TO USE:
If you have followed any of the methods above, it will add the brushes to your brush palette permanently, until you reset your brushes. Always keep the file handy, just in case.

Just select a tool that supports brush shapes and brush away!

Enjoy, and please let me know if you have any problems!
